Many of their employees serve as leaders and volunteers throughout their local communities. Local clubs and organizations including Scouts, 4-H, minor sports, and local arts and education benefit from their knowledge and commitments. As a business in a small town, many requests come in throughout the year looking for support and they do their best to give back as much as they can. As well as supporting local clubs, organizations and charities such as the local Food Bank, Jessica’s House (new residential hospice), Kinsmens & Kinettes, hospital foundation, local schools, local agricultural societies and the Plowing Match, they also host annual BBQ’s and fundraisers throughout the year for cancer research in support of Plaid for Dad, Walk for the Cure, Breast Cancer Awareness Week and Movember.
Winning this prize presents an opportunity to help even more! From young to old, the community is always needing financial help and support for programs and developments in making life in our community better. There are many valuable projects we would like to continue to invest in! A couple examples where financial assistance could be beneficial is with the youth in our community looking to take the local water park into its next phase of development and supporting local families who are in much need of the residential hospice being built in our community.
